The short version: FinGen stores all your financial data 100% locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal or financial information with anyone. No account required. No cloud sync. Your data never leaves your phone.
This Privacy Policy explains how FinGen ("the App", "we", "our") handles your information. FinGen is a personal finance tracking app developed by Riddhi, an individual developer based in India.
By using FinGen, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
FinGen does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
FinGen stores the following data exclusively on your device using Android's local storage (AsyncStorage). This data is never transmitted to any server or third party.
Income and expense entries you manually add, including amount, category, date, and optional note.
Your name, monthly income, and EMI amount entered during onboarding — used only to calculate your financial health score.
Notification preferences, quiet hours settings, and onboarding completion status.
XP points, badges earned, daily challenge completions, and streak count.
Financial health score, savings rate, EMI load, and monthly summaries — all computed locally on your device.
All of the above is stored using AsyncStorage on your device only. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all this data.
FinGen requests only the permissions necessary for its core features:
FinGen does not request permissions for camera, microphone, location, contacts, SMS, or any other sensitive system resource.
FinGen uses the following open-source libraries. None of these collect, transmit, or share user data:
Cross-platform mobile framework. Used for building the app interface. Does not collect user data.
Local key-value storage. All data written by this library stays on your device only.
Local notification library. Used only to schedule on-device notifications. No remote messaging or user tracking.
UI interaction and animation libraries. Used for swipe gestures and smooth animations. No data collection.
Screen navigation library. No data collection or transmission.
SVG rendering for charts and health score ring. No data collection.
Gradient rendering for UI elements. No data collection.
FinGen does not use any analytics SDK, advertising SDK, crash reporting service, or any third-party service that transmits data off your device.
FinGen does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app. All features are available without registration.
FinGen does not display advertisements and does not use any advertising networks or ad tracking SDKs. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or marketing companies.
FinGen is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's security features (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend:
Uninstalling FinGen from your device will permanently delete all app data. There is no cloud backup — this is by design, for your privacy.
You have full control over your data at all times:
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
We will notify users of significant changes through a notice in the app or on the Play Store listing.
